AI Demo Sessions – Hosted by ARC England

ARC England are very pleased to be able to bring you the following sessions led by Emma Ockelford at Outcomes Matter for people who draw on support, support workers and other staff at which five free artificial intelligence tools will be demonstrated and discussed.

🧠 AI Demo Sessions – Overview and Agenda

We’re running five half-hour demo sessions exploring free AI-powered tools that could help adults with learning disabilities and/or autism in everyday life. These are informal, practical sessions for people receiving care and support — and those who support them. You’re welcome to come along to all five demos, or just pop into the ones that feel most useful to you.

 Why We’re Doing This

We’ve been working as a group who’ve been exploring how AI could help make life easier for people with learning disabilities or autism. So far, we’ve:

  • Run intro sessions to explain AI and what it can (and can’t) do
  • Talked through opportunities and concerns — especially around safety and privacy
  • Begun co-producing an easy read guide to AI and how it could be useful

Now we’re running these live demos to bring some of the most promising tools to life. These sessions will also be recorded and turned into simple resources to go with the easy read guide we are co-developing.

🧰 The Five Free AI Tools We’ll Explore

🗓️ How Each 30-Minute Demo Will Run

Every session will follow the same rhythm:

  1. Welcome & Intros (5 mins)
    • Say hello and check in
    • Brief recap for new joiners
    • Share the story so far (why we’re looking at AI, what the group has done, why it matters)
  2. Tool Overview & Demo (10 mins)
    • What the tool is
    • How it helps
    • A short video or live example (depending on the tool)
  3. Discussion & Real-Life Ideas (15 mins)
    • How might this be useful in daily life or work?
    • Can we test it using any real examples?
    • What do people think? Would they use it?

📲 Before You Join… (Optional Prep)

All tools we’re showing are free to use – no one should need to pay for anything.

To get the most from the sessions, it might be helpful to download some tools in advance if you want to try them live:

  • Google Lens (via the Google app)
  • Goblin Tools (on iOS and Android)
  • SymboTalk (on iOS and Android)

You don’t have to – we’ll be showing them live too. If you’re not sure how to get set up, chat to someone who supports you or ask in the session.
