  • Rural Gigabit Voucher Scheme – Vouchers worth up to £3,500 for businesses help to cover the costs of installing gigabit broadband.
  • Local Growth Hubs – Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) run growth hubs to support businesses. They often have information about local grants and funding.
  • The National Lottery – The National Lottery has numerous funding streams and is mainly focussed on projects which aim to build community
  • Grace Cares – Grace Cares offer one-off support grants for care workers and older people in need. This might be for care equipment, utility bills, or to support with mental health issues. It doesn’t matter what the need is for, just if it is genuine.
  • Innovate UK innovation loans future economy: round 14 – Innovate UK is offering up to £25 million in loans to micro, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Innovate UK innovation loans are for highly innovative late stage research and development (R&D) projects with the best potential for the future. There must be a clear route to commercialisation and economic impact. Closing date 1 May 2024
  • UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) – UKRI invest £8 billion of taxpayers’ money each year into research and innovation and the people who make it happen. Explore their wide range of funding opportunities on their website.
  • NIHR – Invention for Innovation Call 28 – The i4i Product Development Awards (PDA) supports collaborative research and development of medical devices, in vitro diagnostic devices and high-impact patient-focused digital health technologies for use in the NHS or social care systems. Closing date 29 May 2024
  • NIHR – Research Programme for Social Care – Aims to fund research that generates evidence that increases the effectiveness of social care, provides value for money and benefits people who need or use social care and carers. Closing date 26 June 2024
  • Social Tech Trust – “We’re a charity that challenges ourselves and others to think differently about the relationship between tech and society. We run programmes and provide the investment needed for high potential social tech ventures to grow and scale their social impact.”
