DSPT In depth Part 2: Problem solving for everyday digital challenges

This practical session focuses on building confidence in handling everyday digital challenges within adult social care settings—supporting safe, effective use of technology in line with DSPT requirements. Rather than requiring technical expertise, this session introduces simple, structured approaches to problem-solving that can be applied in day-to-day practice. It supports staff to work more confidently with digital systems while maintaining good data security and information handling standards. You will learn how to:
  • Troubleshoot common issues across devices and digital systems
  • Apply clear, step-by-step methods to resolve problems efficiently
  • Recognise when to escalate issues and seek appropriate support
  • Support colleagues and people who use services in using digital tools safely and effectively

By the end of this session, you will feel more confident using digital technology, resolving common issues, and supporting others, while contributing to your organisation’s compliance with DSPT and strengthening overall digital capability across your service.
