Dear xxxxx,

Please complete Data Security and Protection elearning course

You know that keeping information safe is important, but sometimes it’s hard to work out when you should share information with others, and when you should not. And as we are all using digital technology more, we also need to understand our own individual role in protecting our systems for cyber attacks.

We would like you to complete the free elearning course – Data Security and Protection – published by the Better Security, Better Care programme.

The course is really easy to use, and it’s got lots of useful tips, films and short quizzes about keeping data safe in a social care service.

You don’t have to register or log in to use it. There are four modules in total. They vary in length and take between 10 and 20 minutes to complete, and there is just one short assessment with 20 questions. If you answer at least 80% of the questions correctly, you’ll get a certificate which you can download and save, and send it to xxxxx to prove that you’ve successfully completed the course.

If you don’t get 80% straightaway- don’t worry. You can watch the modules again or just redo the assessment.

We recommend that you complete at least one module in one sitting. It’s just 15-20 minutes per day, so you might want to fit it in during a break or between shifts and spread it over the next week or so. But please complete the course by xxxxxx.

You can complete the course on your own or the company’s phone, laptop or computer.

There’s a useful guide to help you to use the resource. Find out more and access the elearning resource at www.digitalcarehub.co.uk/elearning

If you have any questions, please contact xxxxxx.

I really hope you enjoy the course – it makes a difficult topic easy to understand!
