Join us to explore what digital inclusion – and exclusion – looks like across the social care sector.
Digital technology is increasingly shaping how social care is accessed, delivered and experienced. But for many people, digital access, confidence, skills and support remain significant barriers.
Join Digital Care Hub for a panel discussion exploring what digital inclusion – and exclusion – looks like across the social care sector, both for people receiving care and support and for the people working within care services.
Our panel will explore the realities of digital exclusion across different settings and experiences, including the barriers that prevent people from accessing and benefiting from digital technology. We’ll also shine a light on creative and innovative approaches that are helping to tackle these challenges, sharing examples of where digital inclusion is making a difference in practice.
Alongside celebrating progress, the discussion will consider where gaps and challenges remain, and what more needs to be done to ensure that digital transformation in social care is inclusive by design.
The panel will explore:
- What digital inclusion and exclusion look like across social care
- The experiences of people drawing on care and support, and the social care workforce
- Barriers to accessing and using digital technology, including skills, confidence, affordability, accessibility and infrastructure
- Creative and innovative approaches to tackling digital exclusion
- Examples of good practice and lessons from across the sector
- Where gaps and inequalities remain, and what needs to change
- How we can make sure the future of digital social care works for everyone
