From Ring doorbells and Alexa devices to smartphones, messaging apps, video calls and wearable technology, these tools can support independence, communication and better care – but they can also introduce cyber security and data protection risks that are easily overlooked.
This practical webinar will explore the less obvious risks associated with everyday technology, including what happens when devices such as smart speakers and video doorbells are used in or around people’s homes, and what this means for privacy, consent, confidentiality and information security.
Using real-world examples, the session will highlight common risks and provide practical, proportionate steps that social care providers and professionals can take to use everyday technology safely and responsibly.
