Webinar date: 25 February 2026
This webinar is final in the Cyber in Care series, designed to help adult social care providers understand and manage cyber security risks. Delivered by Digital Care Hub, Care England, and Cyber Centre of Excellence (CCOE). This webinar focuses on how adult social care providers can prepare for, respond to, and recover from cyber incidents such as ransomware or system outages. It is the final session in the “Cyber in Care” series and is designed to build practical resilience across care organisations.
Key Points
- Cyber incidents are inevitable, so planning is essential
Care providers are encouraged to assume breaches or outages may happen and to prepare clear response and recovery plans rather than relying only on prevention. - Focus on continuity of care
The priority during a cyber incident is maintaining safe care delivery, even if digital systems go down. - Practical incident response tools
The session provides usable resources such as:
- Incident response checklists
- Business continuity templates
- Recovery planning guidance
- Tabletop exercises (simulated practice scenarios)
- Building organisational resilience
Providers are shown how to move from reactive responses to structured, confident handling of incidents using planning tools like “digital twin” visualisation and scenario exercises. - Whole-organisation responsibility
Cyber resilience is not just IT-led—it involves managers, staff, and leadership working together.
Conclusion
The webinar emphasises that cyber resilience in care is about preparation, clear planning, and teamwork. Organisations that practise incident response and build recovery plans are far better able to protect both services and the people they care for when disruption happens.
