The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is adapting its Evidence Standards Framework for digital care technologies used in adult social care. To get it right, NICE wants to hear directly from care provider leaders and frontline professionals about how technology is chosen, introduced and used in real care settings.
What does the survey cover?
The survey asks about your experience of digital care technologies in adult social care. This could include electronic care records, falls sensors, monitoring devices, digital communication tools, apps, or technology that helps staff plan and deliver care.
You do not need to be a technology expert to take part. NICE is interested in a wide range of experiences, whether you use technology in your day-to-day work, support people to use it, help introduce it across a service, or make decisions about what to buy and how it should be used.
How will your response help?
The Evidence Standards Framework describes the evidence that should be available for digital health and care technologies. By adapting it for adult social care, NICE can better reflect the realities of different services, roles and working environments, as well as the needs of people who draw on care and support.
Your feedback can show NICE what people need when they are assessing or using technology. It can highlight the questions providers face, the evidence that would help them make confident decisions and the practical barriers the adapted framework needs to address.

Every response will help NICE build a fuller picture of what people in different roles need from the framework. If you work in a care home, homecare, supported living or another adult social care service, please take part and share the survey with colleagues who may also want to have their say.
